John Ostrander and Tom Mandrake's run on The Spectre consistently delivered some of DC's most haunting supernatural storytelling, and issue #43 is no exception. Kent Williams's painted cover — depicting the green-cloaked, red-eyed Spectre looming over a crumbling skeleton, rendered in striking warm oranges and cool blues — sets a genuinely unsettling tone for "Shattered Glass."
