There's something almost mournful in the composition, capturing the weight that comes with being DC's Spirit of Vengeance. John Ostrander and Tom Mandrake were crafting some of the most thoughtful dark fantasy in 1990s comics, and "The Poisoned Land" promises another morally complex chapter in that run.
