The Spectacular Spider-Men launched in March 2024 as Marvel's first ongoing co-starring series for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, with Greg Weisman — showrunner of the beloved 2008 Spectacular Spider-Man animated series — returning to the character alongside veteran Spidey artist Humberto Ramos. The series was announced in November 2023 and designed by Weisman as a 'light-hearted buddy book' rooted in the same character-dense, emotionally grounded approach that defined his animated work. By issue #8, with the first arc ('Arachnobatics') concluded, Humberto Ramos stepped back from interiors, and Emilio Laiso and Andres Genolet took over the penciling and inking duties — though Ramos remained as cover artist — reflecting a natural creative handoff as the series entered its second story arc under editor Nick Lowe.
