“Wrecking Havoc!”

The Wrecking Crew is out in full force on this April 1987 Marvel cover, where a black-costumed, long-haired figure — almost certainly the Black Cat — battles the quartet of villains: the massive Wrecker, the hard-charging Thunderball with his wrecking ball and chain, the fierce Piledriver, and the helmeted Bulldozer. Cover pencils by Bob Hall and inks by Al Milgrom give the composition real kinetic energy, with bodies flying in every direction against a stark black background. The story title "Wrecking Havoc!" says it all, and a corner blurb teasing "The All-New Spider-Woman" makes this an especially packed issue of Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man.
