“When Strikes the Octopus!!”

Atop what appears to be an ocean liner, Doctor Octopus comes flying in with his mechanical tentacles whirling as Spider-Man braces for the clash — it's a kinetic, wide-open confrontation rendered with clean energy by cover penciler Bob Hall and inker Al Milgrom. The inset corner box even teases a symbiote-black figure, adding an extra layer of intrigue to this 1987 Marvel showdown. With Roger McKenzie writing and Greg LaRocque on interior art, Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #124 looks like a genuinely satisfying dose of classic wall-crawler action.
