The Secret Defenders #19
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis September 1994 issue of The Secret Defenders brings together a notably eclectic roster, with Dr. Druid, Cadaver, and Shadowoman front and center on Joe Phillips and Jason Martin's cover, all three caught in a tense standoff against a massive, looming dark figure whose glowing eye dominates the composition — and a swarm of giant insects closing in from below adds an extra layer of menace. Inset at the lower left, Iceman and Archangel of the X-Men are also along for the ride, broadening the team's already unpredictable lineup. Tom Brevoort, Mike Kanterovich, and Bill Wylie deliver what looks to be a wonderfully strange corner of the Marvel Universe, and "Survival of the Fittest" is a title that promises nobody's getting out easy.
