“That Old House”

The second issue of DC's six-part Ray miniseries carries a cover by Randy DuBurke that captures the hero tumbling helplessly through a blaze of golden light, arms outstretched and a resigned "Uh-oh…" escaping his lips — not exactly the confident entrance you'd hope for. The bold "BURNOUT!" chapter title running down the left side sets a tense, urgent tone, with a corner inset offering a cool full-figure look at the Ray's striking costume design. Writer Jack C. Harris and artist Joe Quesada deliver what promises to be a wild, high-energy chapter in this 1992 series.
