The Rawhide Kid helps defend a stagecoach being drawn by Calamity Jane. A reverend's daughter riding on the stagecoach is attracted to the Kid. Black Jack wants to kill Jane and hires Cherokee to aid him in capturing the coach. The Rawhide Kid escapes the Cherokee and joins with Wild Bill Hickok in rescuing Jane and the others. The reverend's daughter wants the Kid to settle down with her but he knows his past will catch up with him eventually.
