The Phantom Stranger #5
Part of DC's New 52 line, The Phantom Stranger #5 arrives in 2013 with a striking Jae Lee cover that places the Stranger front and center — hat pulled low, his face partially obscured — while a green-cloaked figure looms ominously in the shadow behind him, hinting at a tense supernatural confrontation. The tagline "The Revenge of the Spectre!" sets an atmospheric, foreboding tone that Dan DiDio and J. M. DeMatteis carry into the story "...Noble Vengeance." Brent Anderson handles interior art with inks from Philip Tan and Rob Hunter, making this a well-assembled creative team for one of the New 52's more mysterious corners of the DC universe.
