Part four of the "Future Shock" arc, this May 1996 issue of New Warriors delivers a cover by Patrick Zircher and Andrew Pepoy that's hard to look away from — a colossal, glowing skull-like visage dominates the stormy background while two Warriors scramble desperately in the foreground, energy crackling all around them. The sense of scale and dread is palpable, with the heroes looking genuinely overwhelmed against whatever cosmic force looms over them. Evan Skolnick and Zircher were clearly building toward something big with "the Fire in which we Burn.
