The Nameless #3

Issue three of Image's The Nameless turns up the heat — literally — as Phillip Hester and Bruce McCorkindale's cover depicts a masked, goggled figure pressing forward through a wall of fire, gun in hand, while a massive dark winged creature looms ominously from the inferno behind them. The contrast between the grounded, gear-clad protagonist and the towering supernatural threat makes for a genuinely arresting image. Joe Pruett's 1997 series clearly isn't shy about pitting its hero against forces that dwarf ordinary danger.
