When The Daredevils was cancelled after eleven issues, Marvel UK editor Bernie Jaye merged it into the relaunched Mighty World of Marvel Vol. 2, which had debuted in June 1983 as a monthly with card covers and a premium price point. Issue #7 (December 1983) was the direct product of that merger: it absorbed the Captain Britain strip and the Night Raven text feature wholesale from The Daredevils, picking up the continuity precisely from The Daredevils #11 without interruption. The Captain Britain story was written by Alan Moore with art by Alan Davis — the same creative team that had been developing the Jaspers' Warp arc through the preceding magazine — and it introduced Meggan in a brief but indelible sequence that Davis and Moore had conceived as part of their broader Jaspers dystopia. The Wolverine reprint content came from the American limited series Wolverine #3 (Nov. 1982), scripted by Chris Claremont with art by Frank Miller and inks by Josef Rubinstein, giving the UK anthology a prestigious American co-feature; the physical production of the issue used a mixed page format, with colour sections transitioning to tinted and then black-and-white pages.
