In "Flight into Fear!", a young man named Johnny awakens on a stone gargoyle in a city park, only to be whisked away to a medieval realm where he’s no longer crippled—but now a giant among tiny people. There, he must confront the evil demon Xzar, wielding an enchanted sword to defend the realm, guided by the wisdom of The Old One and the courage of Princess Yrill. When the battle ends, a gargoyle returns him to the real world, where Johnny wakes up—only to discover he can finally walk, forever changed by a journey that defies belief.
In "The Ghost-Beast!", the legendary Beowulf and his men arrive to defend a kingdom from a shadowy demon known as the Beast-God—a creature whose very gaze drives men to madness. After defeating the beast, Beowulf reveals his true aim: to claim the kingdom for himself. When the ghost of the Beast-God returns, the princess devises a cunning trap, using a poison ring to end Beowulf’s life. Though his spirit triumphs over the demon’s, Beowulf is doomed to wander the Earth as a ghost, forever bound to the realm he sought to conquer.
In "Sanctuary!", King Hamand's conquest of Cybernia leads him to an ancient tomb, where he claims the crown of a long-dead druid king—only to awaken a vengeful spirit who takes the guise of Hamand’s own wizard, Abarac. As the false Abarac manipulates the king, Hamand is lured into a trap, sealed within his own castle tower, where he must face the consequences of his ambition.
In "Of Swords and Sorcery!", the fierce Vandal the barbarian, the cunning Pip the elf, and the cursed Trolkin the dwarf—whose reptilian form hides a tragic past—race to save a kingdom from the tyrannical demonic wizard Arak. With deadly eye beams that turn enemies to stone, Arak seems unstoppable until the unlikely heroism of Trolkin becomes the key to breaking his curse and turning his power against him.
In "null," Dr. Doom retreats to the French Riviera after his revolution collapses, leaving his kingdom to rebuild—only for the Red Skull to seize control of Latveria in his absence.
