“Prisoner of the 5th Dimension!”

In "Prisoner of the 5th Dimension!", the Human Torch and Toro answer a desperate call from Chloe, a bride-to-be in the Louisiana Bayou, where a mysterious creature known as The Reptile has begun a deadly rampage. As the duo investigates the eerie estate and its troubled past, old tensions resurface and the line between truth and illusion begins to blur. With Allen Bellman handling both pencils and inks, this 1975 Marvel classic blends Southern gothic dread with classic superhero charm, while Ron Wilson and Frank Giacoia deliver a striking cover that captures the story’s eerie tone.

The Torch and Toro reminisce about a case some time ago... On a rich estate in the Louisiana Bayou, Webster warns away Gus for "molesting" his fiancee Chloe. But on their wedding day, a creature called The Reptile begins a reign of terror and murder, warning all to abandon the estate. Answering Chloe's telegram, The Torch and Toro investigate, and find that not is all as obvious as it seems. At one point, trapped in quicksand, Toro asks "What are we gonna do?" and The Torch replies "It's a cinch we can't write to our congressman!"
