This deluxe hardcover collects the opening chapters of writer Joshua Williamson's acclaimed run on The Flash, following Barry Allen as he navigates a new era of speedster adventures. Featuring art by Carmine Di Giandomenico and others, the volume includes issues from the 2016 'Rebirth' relaunch, exploring Barry's role as the Fastest Man Alive while introducing new threats and deepening his connection to the Speed Force.
In "The Flash Rebirth Deluxe Edition #1," Barry Allen and the new Kid Flash race to save lives as a bridge collapses, only to be joined by the original Wally West—setting off a chain of revelations that shake Barry to his core. As the two Wallys touch, Barry is overwhelmed by visions from the Speed Force, briefly succumbing to the influence of Professor Zoom and revealing a secret about Wally’s father that leaves the younger hero reeling. Written by Joshua Williamson and illustrated by Jorge Corona, with colors by Ivan Plascencia and letters by Steve Wands, the issue’s striking cover by Karl Kerschl captures the moment of collision between past and present.
