The Scarlet Speedster finds himself caught in a very bad situation on this August 1982 cover, engulfed in a roaring wall of flame while two white-suited Heat Wave villains close in from either side, heat guns raised — and the cover copy makes no bones about how the Flash feels about it. Gil Kane and Dick Giordano deliver a striking image that puts Barry Allen's red-and-yellow costume ablaze against an urban backdrop, and the promise of a Dr. Fate backup feature sweetens the deal considerably.
