“Road to Oblivion!”

The cover by Dick Giordano says it all: the Scarlet Speedster is caught in a swirling tangle of razor-edged boomerangs while a grinning Captain Boomerang — resplendent in his blue costume — presses his advantage in what looks like an indoor ambush. That bold cover question, "Can Flash survive the deadly assault of Captain Boomerang?", sets up the interior story "Road to Oblivion!" with just the right amount of dread. A sharp 1979 DC package from a creative team that clearly had fun putting the Fastest Man Alive through his paces.
