The Demon #50
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeReaching its milestone 50th issue in 1994, The Demon goes full swashbuckler with "The Shanty of Captain Scumm" — and John McCrea's cover makes the case brilliantly, depicting Etrigan decked out in full pirate regalia: red coat, cutlass in hand, a parrot perched on one shoulder, and a treasure chest spilling gold coins at his clawed feet, all set against a richly detailed fantasy map. Writer Garth Ennis clearly relished the chance to drop DC's rhyming hellspawn into an adventure-on-the-high-seas scenario, and the result looks like devilish fun of the highest order.
