Etrigan the Demon stands front and center on this 1990 DC issue, radiating a burst of supernatural energy from his chest while delivering the taunt "Ready, slime? It's showtime!" — and the crowd of grotesque, leering demons packed behind him makes it clear there's no shortage of slime on hand. Val Semeiks both pencils and inks the cover, filling every inch of the frame with wonderfully hideous creature design that gives the whole thing an exuberant, hellish energy. With Alan Grant scripting "The Scheme of Things," this is a solid entry in the series for anyone who enjoys their supernatural action with a healthy dose of dark wit.
