The Demon #12

The hellfire-drenched cover by Simon Bisley sets a blistering tone for this 1991 DC series, depicting a fierce, wild-haired rider astride a roaring motorcycle charging forward against an enormous, looming demonic face with bared fangs and grasping skeletal hands rising from a field of skulls below. The chapter title "Behold a Pale Rider" promises something epic from writer Alan Grant, with interior art by Val Semeiks and Denis Rodier bringing the story to life. It's a genuinely striking package — Bisley's painted cover alone makes this issue hard to put down without a second look.
