This 1985 Marvel issue finds the New Defenders in a dramatic nocturnal clash, with a sword-wielding rider on a rearing dark horse bearing down on a blue-caped, blonde figure whose hands crackle with energy as blades meet in a burst of light. A werewolf prowls menacingly at the left while two winged figures — one with great feathered wings raising a sword, another in flight — engage from above. Frank Cirocco's cover art pulls the whole team into a sweeping, atmospheric confrontation set against a moonlit forest that makes this issue hard to pass up.
