Issue nine of Impact Comics' The Comet finds the blue-and-pink-suited hero hurtling fist-first over a sun-drenched cityscape in a dynamic low-angle composition by cover penciler Michael Netzer and inker John Beatty. A second figure streaks along a pink energy trail in the background, hinting at the aerial action within. With Mark Waid scripting "Oil and Water" and a solid creative team behind it, this 1992 entry is a fine example of the Impact Comics line at full throttle.
