Sir Edwin continues to slander The Silent Knight, and Squire Brian (SK's secret identity) impulsively says the SK will meet any challenge. Just then a battleaxe and note thump down. The Hooded Terror will exact tribute from anyone crossing the bridge through the Forest Perilous. Brian dons the SK's garb and follows Slasher the hawk to the bridge. He's snared, but even upside down routs the twin Hooded Terrors with Slasher's help. Still, the SK must accept a challenge on the jousting field, and even felled, grabs a lance and wins the bout - and a rose from fair Lady Celia.
