The Batman Chronicles #1
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis volume collects the earliest appearances of Batman and Robin from Detective Comics #27-38 and Batman #1, reprinting the Golden Age stories that introduced the Dynamic Duo, their origin, and classic villains like Professor Hugo Strange and Boss Zucco. It showcases the first meeting of Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, the tragic murder of the Flying Graysons, and the debut of the Batmobile, all in their original 1939-1940 form.
In "The Case of the Chemical Syndicate," Batman responds to a cry for help from an old house, only to find a desperate criminal who’s just killed his tormentors to cover his tracks. With a dying man named Joey whispering secrets about a powerful smuggler, the Caped Crusader must untangle a web of betrayal and crime—before the syndicate strikes again. Written by Bill Finger and illustrated by Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson, with inks by Kane and Theakston, and colors by Le Rose and Vozzo, this 2005 tale from The Batman Chronicles delivers a classic noir mystery with a sharp, grounded edge.
