Something is clearly very wrong with history in "A Soldier's Story" — the cover by Mike Parobeck and Rick Burchett drops Batman right into the middle of a pitched Napoleonic-era battle, cape spread wide as he wades through clashing soldiers in blue and red uniforms armed with rifles and sabers. It's a wonderfully strange image that makes you desperate to know what sent Gotham's Dark Knight back to the age of muskets and bayonets.
