The Batman Adventures #19
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA scarecrow-masked villain dominates this striking 1994 cover, lunging forward with a gloved fist while a diminutive Batman clings to his back against Gotham's moody amber skyline — a wonderfully dynamic composition by penciler Mike Parobeck and inker Rick Burchett that captures the animated series' clean, expressive style perfectly. The title "Troubled Dreams" promises something unsettling lurking beneath the surface, and this visual alone makes a compelling case for what's inside. Kelley Puckett, Parobeck, and Burchett were doing some of their most appealing work together during this run, and issue #19 is a fine example of why The Batman Adventures earned such affection from fans of all ages.
