The Avengers #115

In "Below Us the Battle!", the Avengers—Black Panther, Captain America, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Swordsman, Thor, Vision, and Mantis—arrive at Garrett Castle in England searching for their missing teammate, only to find it sealed by ancient magic. When a group of subterranean troglodytes led by Skol attack and capture them, the heroes awaken in a hidden underground society that has lived in isolation for centuries, developing its own culture far beneath the world they once knew. As they navigate this forgotten realm, they begin to understand the truth behind the sealed castle and the people who dwell below.

In the shadowed reaches of a forgotten dimension, Loki—blind but cunning—has forged a dangerous alliance with the ancient tyrant Dormammu. With the six shards of the Malevolent Eye scattered across Earth, the two villains manipulate the Defenders into unwitting pawns, plotting to merge our world with Dormammu’s dark realm and claim dominion over both.
