“They Walk by Night!”

In "They Walk by Night!", Bruce Banner, battered from his clash with the Absorbing Man, finds refuge in a secluded mansion that quickly becomes a trap—his new sanctuary a staging ground for a cult seeking to summon the ancient Undying Ones. As the Hulk emerges in another dimension, he confronts the Night-Crawler in a surreal, shadow-drenched realm, where the battle rages across dimensions and Dr. Strange's fate hangs in the balance. Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated with gritty energy by Herb Trimpe, with inks by Trimpe and letters by Artie Simek, the cover by Neal Adams captures the eerie, otherworldly dread of the story.
