A towering silver-skinned synthetic figure dominates this Bryan Hitch and Paul Neary cover, her chrome body etched with circuitry and cables, green eyes coolly surveying the viewer against a glowing circuit-board backdrop. Reflected in her metallic form are two human figures — a man and a woman — as though trapped within her very surface, hinting at something deeply unsettling at the heart of "Outer Dark - One of Four." Warren Ellis, Hitch, Neary, and Laura DePuy were firing on all cylinders in 2000, and this WildStorm issue makes a striking case for why The Authority was impossible to ignore.
