This super-sized 1988 annual drops Spider-Man, Speedball, and Daredevil into Marvel's sweeping "Evolutionary War" crossover, and the cover — penciled by Ron Frenz and inked by John Romita — crackles with rooftop energy as all three heroes take to the Manhattan skyline. Speedball bounds forward in a swirl of his kinetic energy bubbles while Spider-Man swings in from the left and Daredevil stands ready on a rooftop in the background, making for one of the more genuinely fun ensemble covers of the year. At 64 pages, there's real room to stretch out in a story written by Mark Gruenwald with art by Ron Lim.
