☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis Epic Collection reprints a pivotal stretch of classic Spider-Man tales from the late 1980s, centered on the formation and first full assault of the Sinister Six under Doctor Octopus's leadership. Alongside the return of that iconic villain team, the volume features key developments in Peter Parker's personal life, including his deepening relationship with Mary Jane Watson, and guest appearances by Daredevil, Silver Sable, and the High Evolutionary. The collection also weaves in threads involving the Kingpin, Speedball, and mystical threats like Chthon and Morgan Le Fay, showcasing the breadth of storytelling from the era.
In "What's the Matter with Mommy?", Peter Parker faces a personal crossroads as he considers a new research job in Kansas, testing the strength of his marriage to Mary Jane. Meanwhile, Spider-Man teams up with the Sandman to stop Neo-Nazi leader Franz Kraus from advancing his dangerous plans, only to return home to a surprising revelation. Written by David Michelinie and brought to life with bold, dynamic art by Todd McFarlane—both on interior and cover—this story blends intimate family drama with high-stakes action, all set in the heart of New York City.
