Part six of Gail Simone's "My Life in Miniature" arc arrives in style with this February 2007 issue, featuring the All New Atom locked in a desperate, size-shifting brawl against a swarm of enormous rats and what appear to be monstrous microscopic creatures looming behind translucent spheres. José Ladrönn's cover captures the hero mid-tumble, weapon in hand, completely surrounded and outnumbered in a scenario that makes "Splitting Atoms!" feel like both a promise and a warning. With Eddy Barrows and Trevor Scott on interiors, this is DC's smartest small-scale adventure delivered in a very big way.
