Peralta, and Rosenberg continue their cosmic run with this quietly arresting issue, its cover by Mike Deodato Jr. doing a lot of heavy atmospheric lifting. Thanos stands alone atop a heap of rubble, his back turned to the viewer as he gazes into a vast, blood-red sky scattered with distant stars — the scale of the devastation stretching to the horizon around him suggests a world already spent. It's a surprisingly contemplative image for one of Marvel's most formidable figures, and that contrast between stillness and ruin makes it hard to look away.
