Tex Ritter Western #36

This Charlton Western from 1957 puts Tex Ritter right in the thick of it — astride his rearing white horse, he leans out to throw a punch at a pair of rough-looking outlaws, while a loyal dog joins the fray down below. The cover teases "The Ghost Town Gang" and promises that the Prairie Ranger himself will be battling hopeless odds, setting up plenty of frontier action for a dime. Dick Giordano's pencils and Vince Alascia's inks give the scene a kinetic, sun-baked energy that makes this issue hard to pass up.
