"The Ghost Rider" follows Hopalong Cassidy as he becomes entangled with a corrupt businessman named Bentley who has murdered Bat Hurley over a gambling debt; when Cassidy witnesses Bentley's crime, he must pose as a ghostly phantom to recover the stolen wallet and expose the killer before facing the noose himself. A secondary story, "Whitey Whiskers: The Chimney Sweep," depicts a farmhand's comedic attempts to convince a chimney sweep to clean his employer's chimney in exchange for wages, leading to a deal where both parties attempt to profit from the arrangement.
