“The Battle!”

In *Tellos* #1, a young rabbit journeys to a mysterious mage seeking answers about the fate of Tellos, only to reveal a hidden allegiance to the villain Malesur. As he’s captured and imprisoned in a box by two ogres, his true nature begins to shift—transforming into a silent, reptilian creature that escapes the moment they arrive. Written by Todd DeZago and brought to life with dynamic art by Mike Wieringo, this first issue sets a mysterious, high-stakes tone with a twist that lingers long after the final page. The cover, by Mike Wieringo and Nathan Massengill, captures the moment of transformation with striking intensity.

A young rabbit seeks out a mage for answers about the future of Tellos. He receives the information and leaves, and it becomes apparent that he was actually a spy for the evil Malesur. He is locked in a box by two ogres while they take him back to Malesur to tell what he learned, but when they arrive they find that the young rabbit has turned into a lizard that cannot speak, and that immediately flees.
