“The Legend of the Light and the Land”

"The Legend of the Light and the Land" is a striking prelude to the Tellos saga, written by Todd DeZago and brought to life with vibrant art by Mike Wieringo, whose dynamic pencils and inks define the issue’s bold visual style. A young rabbit journeys to a mysterious mage seeking answers about Tellos’s fate, only to reveal himself as a spy for the dark force Malesur—his true nature exposed in a chilling twist that leaves his captors stunned. The cover, also by Wieringo, captures the moment’s tension with precision, setting the tone for a story where appearances deceive and destiny is never as it seems.

A young rabbit seeks out a mage for answers about the future of Tellos. He receives the information and leaves, and it becomes apparent that he was actually a spy for the evil Malesur. He is locked in a box by two ogres while they take him back to Malesur to tell what he learned, but when they arrive they find that the young rabbit has turned into a lizard that cannot speak, and that immediately flees.
