Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Casey and April #3

This third issue of IDW's Casey and April miniseries zeroes in on April O'Neil alone at the center of a deeply unsettling cover — she's huddled on the ground, arms wrapped around herself, while dozens of rats close in from every direction in an eerie ring. Irene Koh's art gives the image a quiet, creeping dread that sets this series apart from the Turtles' usual action-driven adventures. Mariko Tamaki and Koh are clearly digging into something more personal and psychological here, and this penultimate chapter promises to deliver on that tension.
