Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures #52

Archie's TMNT Adventures goes full-on gross for its self-proclaimed "Gross Monster Issue," and the cover by penciler Chris Allan and inker Ryan Brown delivers exactly that — a massive, bulging-eyed, fang-mouthed creature dominates the scene as the Turtles (Raphael clearly visible in red) get tangled up in a wild, churning melee alongside a dark winged beast and other bizarre mutant figures. The chaotic energy is gleefully over the top, with bodies, shells, and slime spilling across every corner of the image. Bonus points for the Mutanimals back-up series tucked inside, making this January 1994 issue a generously packed package for fans of the Archie universe.
