Teen Titans #49
The Teen Titans are taking on a very different kind of threat in this August 1977 DC adventure — a gang of rocket-powered skateboarders called the Rocket-Rollers, as the cover by Rich Buckler and Jack Abel makes thrillingly clear. Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Mal, and the whole squad are shown mid-brawl against these wheeled troublemakers, with a winged figure swooping in overhead and the battle cry "Hit 'em hard, Rocket-Rollers! We're like steel compared to these Tin Titans!" splashed front and center. Portrait headshots of Robin, Speedy, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Mal, and the Harlequin line the top of the cover, giving the full roster a proud showcase in what is a genuinely fun, kinetic issue.
