Teen Titans #48
Two-Face looms large on this June 1977 cover, his split face in anguished conflict as he holds a gun to the Harlequin's head — the competing speech bubbles spelling out his tormented double nature perfectly. Robin, Mal, and the full Teen Titans lineup (Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, and Speedy among them) come charging in from the background, making for a wonderfully tense tableau by cover penciler Rich Buckler and inker Jack Abel. "Daddy's Little Crimefighter!" promises a story where family loyalties and superhero duty collide head-on, and this cover delivers that premise with real dramatic punch.
