This issue contains two stories: "Fair Lady," in which a shy man watches Sandra Keller dance at a town dance, then finally gains courage to ask her to dance after she watches him at subsequent outings, leading to their engagement; and "Whisper to Me of Love," in which Caroline Chambers escapes into a world of books and dreams, meets a handsome stranger who promises love and adventure, but must confront the reality that he is being transferred to the West Coast, leaving her to choose between following him or staying behind. A third story, "Whisper to Me of Love" (continued), follows Rita's relationship with Jim Fielding, which begins promisingly but deteriorates when Jim announces his transfer to the West Coast and asks Rita to come with him as his wife, but she ultimately decides to stay, realizing Jim's love was conditional on her accepting his plans.
