Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #43
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFrom March 1960, this DC ten-center puts Jimmy Olsen front and center alongside Superman — and a thoroughly unsettling mechanical brain-creature with writhing tentacles that apparently keeps materializing every time Jimmy uses his signal-watch. The cover, penciled by Curt Swan and inked by Stan Kaye, captures a wonderfully off-kilter Silver Age moment: Superman declares he'll never leave Jimmy's side while a bewildered Jimmy protests he can't explain the bizarre visitor at all. Inside, the feature story "Jimmy Olsen's Four Fads!" promises more of the cheerful, anything-can-happen energy that made this series a delight throughout the era.
