Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #146
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of this February 1972 DC issue makes good on its "Wildest Yet!" promise: a caveman-transformed Jimmy Olsen hoists an enormous red vehicle overhead while Superman streaks in to intervene, and a bystander's word balloon warns the Man of Steel to stay back — Jimmy is now stronger than a wild bull. Jack Kirby pencils and Mike Royer and Murphy Anderson inks give the scene a kinetic, larger-than-life energy, with scattered onlookers scrambling in every direction to sell the chaos. The issue also promises a Newsboy Legion backup story, "Prevue of Peril!," making this a packed package from one of comics' most imaginative creative teams.
