The alien historian whose physical form is trapped in Anthony Gallo's kryptonite reveals to Superman for the first time the story of how Superman's parents sent him from dying Krypton in a rocketship. Meanwhile, Anthony Gallo comes to an unfortunate end, but Jimmy Olsen turns the tables on Luthor and protects Superman. Superman frees the alien, called Bridgewater, from the kryptonite and returns to his parents and his life on Earth with a newfound appreciation of it all.
