In "Grounded, Part Five," Superman walks through the heartland, his journey taking him to Des Moines and then back to Kansas, where Lois Lane investigates a chemical plant suspected of poisoning the local environment. When the plant explodes, Superman rushes in to contain the fire and stabilize the site, only to find himself caught between the truth and the workers' plea to keep it running for the sake of their livelihoods—leading to a painful rift with Lois when he agrees to silence her story.
In "Grounded, Part Six," Superman journeys through Lincoln, Nebraska, where he's drawn into a crisis of storm and flood—unusual forces that seem to converge on a mysterious woman. Inspired by his presence, Wonder Woman arrives to help, and together they face the chaos, while the future Superman Squad reminds him of the values that keep him grounded.
In "Grounded, Part Seven," Superman continues his cross-country journey, arriving in Boulder, Colorado, where he’s met with an unexpected sight: the entire town—and even himself—dressed in Kryptonian attire. When a blur of Kryptonian trivia races through his mind at lightning speed, he tracks it to the Flash, only to discover the chaos stems from a mysterious headband that’s rewriting reality around him. With the town restored and a quiet moment over dessert, the two heroes reflect on legacy and what it means to be a hero.
In "Grounded Part Eight," Superman walks through Utah, where he rescues archaeologist Terri Chung from a near-accident and follows her to her threatened dig site. With Doctor Helen Phelps and Sheng Fan (Vandal Savage) lingering in the background, Superman reconnects with Batman, who arrives to share a quiet moment of reflection on their first mission together in Bhutran—before offering a rare pep talk and a surprising gesture: he’s bought the dig site to ensure its preservation.
In "Grounded, Part Nine," Superman races from Provo to Las Vegas after picking up a distress signal from Jimmy Olsen, only to face a dangerously amplified Livewire. With help from Jimmy, the resourceful Dr. Serling Roquette, and the grounded Iron Munro, Superman must unravel the mystery behind her sudden surge—especially when a hidden electrical containment suit becomes the key to stopping her rampage.
