Superman continues walking across the country, visiting Kansas and later Lincoln, Nebraska. He is invited to visit the Fortress of Solidarity, where the future Superman Squad tells him they are inspired by his example, and not to lose himself during this time. Returned to Nebraska, he finds a flood and tornado going on simultaneously, a situation caused by a mysterious woman. Fortunately, Wonder Woman is also there and, also inspired by Superman, helps. She also encounters the woman, and warns Superman.
