Superman: Camelot Falls #1
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis volume collects the first half of the Superman: Camelot Falls storyline, written by Kurt Busiek with art by Carlos Pacheco. The story pits Superman against a mystical threat tied to the legend of King Arthur, as the Man of Steel faces a dire prophecy that could spell doom for Metropolis and the world. It includes issues of the main Superman series from 2006-2007.
In "On Our Special Day," writer Kurt Busiek and artist Carlos Pacheco launch a gripping tale where ancient prophecy collides with modern crisis. As Clark Kent travels to Kazakhstan to meet Dr. Callie Llewellyn, Superman confronts the aftermath of a forgotten Soviet experiment gone wrong, facing a foe faster than he’s ever known—leaving him bloodied and on the edge of a mystery that reaches back to the fall of Camelot. Cover by Carlos Pacheco and Jesús Merino captures the moment with haunting precision.

In 1659, Arion the immortal has a vision of Camelot falling. His crystal ball shows events in the future leading to it. Clark Kent is traveling to Kazakhstan to meet Dr. Callie Llewellyn, a friend. The area around an old Soviet Science Center is devastated, with people dead or injured. Superman helps the injured, but is punched by something very fast, drawing blood. The center was abandoned when the Soviet Union collapsed, but left an experiment with creature Subjekt-17. Superman is attacked again and Arion observes this. He remarks about people tampering, and journeys to his future to fix it.
