“New Krypton Part Six Invasive Surgery”

In "New Krypton Part Six: Invasive Surgery," Superman grapples with the fallout of a growing crisis as he visits Jonathan Kent’s grave—only to be joined by an unexpected visitor: Bizarro. With tensions rising across Metropolis and the Science Police reeling from a violent ambush, Jim Harper’s chance at joining the team arrives in the wake of tragedy. Meanwhile, Supergirl leads a Kandorian strike force whose actions have left deadly consequences, and Alura’s quiet approval of the violence hints at deeper motives. As Atlas watches from the shadows, Superman confronts Zor-El and Supergirl, forced to face truths they may not have wanted to see. Written by James Robinson and illustrated by Renato Guedes, with inks by Jose Wilson Magalhaes, colors by David Curiel, and letters by John J. Hill, the issue’s haunting tone is matched by Alex Ross’s striking cover art.

Clark and his mother visit Jonathan Kent's grave, as does Bizarro. Agent Liberty requests a leave of absence from the White House to investigate Doomsday's appearance. Supergirl joins with a team of Kandorians, who attack many of Superman's enemies. In one of the attacks, several members of the Science Police and guards at Stryker's Island are killed. Jim Harper applies for a job with the Science Police and is first turned down, but after the loss of some of the team, is accepted. Atlas is incognito, and observing while planning his next attack. Superman learns of the actions of the Kandorians, and confronts Zor-El, Alura, and Supergirl. Zor-El and Supergirl were unaware of the killings, but Alura knew about them, and seems to approve. Mon-El finds some new neighbors in the Phantom Zone; the captured villains.
