Superman's Streak of Bad Luck! finds the Man of Steel plagued by an inexplicable string of misfortunes—every time he appears on his own broadcast, he’s perfectly aligned with a camera in a neighboring studio. There, the Monetenspielshow is airing, a seemingly harmless game show that’s actually a front for Amos Fortune’s scheme to drain citizens’ money. Using a mysterious device known as the Murphy Machine, Fortune manipulates fate itself, tipping the scales of luck against Superman and those around him.
